Outdoor Clothing: Introducing Didriksons
As we are so selective here at Vareys Town & Country, choosing only to stock clothing and footwear produced by the very finest manufacturers, it is not often that we add a new brand to our product portfolio. It is therefore with great pleasure and excitement that we introduce Didriksons, a Swedish clothing company with a long and rich heritage dating back more than a hundred years.
The Didriksons story begins in 1910, when a personal ad brought together two lonely hearts: Julius and Hanna, who both came from poor yet hardworking fishing families in Sweden. Not only sharing a passion for each other, the two also longed to make life better for their families and communities by improving the harsh working conditions out on the open water.
Julius is described as having been an 'innovative inventor' while Hanna is remembered as a 'motivated individual with a flair for business'. Together, the newly-married pair set out to design and produce workwear to save the lives of fishermen and Didriksons was officially established in 1913.
Today, Didriksons remains true to its original ethos of producing highly-functional protective garments, with its stated philosophy being to adapt to the elements rather than to challenge them. After over a century of evolution, Didriksons is one of the leading producers of jackets in Scandinavia and its global presence continues to grow.

Didriksons Erika Parka for Her
If you think that practical functionality and feminine elegance can't be combined into a single garment then think again! Crafted from super-soft polyester with a delightful matte finish, the full-length Erika parka from Didriksons is a game-changer. Entirely windproof and waterproof, the stunning garment boasts superb stylistic features including a high collar, faux-fur-trimmed hood and reflective details. Exclusively available in Black, the Erika parka is insulated using 100% recycled fibre.
